SCROLL IS
DESCENT.

We chart the 93% of the ocean no light has ever reached. Every metre you scroll, our submersibles have already been.

−200 m · Twilight zone

Where sunlight
gives up

Below 200 metres, photosynthesis ends and bioluminescence takes over. Our sensor arrays record light made by living things — 40 terabytes per dive.

The vessel

DSV Lumen-3 holds a crew of three inside a 90 mm titanium sphere, rated to full ocean depth. Ballast, thrusters, and 14 hours of silence.
